This year the virtual edition of the Congress of Business Families will be held for the second time, a unique and free event that will bring together more than 800 family entrepreneurs, as well as local leaders and the main national and international family entrepreneurs.
The ninth edition of this event will have the theme “Leaders of recovery” and will take place on Wednesday, October 27 from 5:00 pm to 7:45 pm. For this edition, respecting the current meeting regulations, it will take place virtually within the zoom platform and will be broadcast live through the facebook of the Association of Family Businesses of Peru (AEF Peru), organizer of the event. “This event is the most important in the sector, which has been held for 8 years to promote the development of family businesses. In this edition, we will have the participation of specialists and family entrepreneurs from Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Peru, who will share the main challenges that family businesses face in order to lead in adverse contexts ”, explained Mariana Garland, president of AEF Peru.
Do not stop attending! It will be more than two hours in which attendees can learn from the business experience of Venezuela, Argentina and Ecuador. The well-known Ecuadorian businessman stands out, Sergio Ramos, CEO at Grupo Vasquéz and Novacredit, who will be speaking about “Transforming the crisis into opportunity”.
In addition, important Venezuelan businessmen will be present, such as Héctor R. Rodríguez, CEO at ArcelorMittal, and Tiziana Polesel, president of Consecomercio, speaking about “Successes over adversity: lessons from the Venezuelan experience”, among others.
On the Peruvian side, experienced entrepreneurs such as Paul Romero, CEO at A&S Holding SAC; Alberto Haito, independent director; and Juan Pablo Delgado and Ricardo Nugent, founders of Nugent & Delgado, discussing “The role of the board of directors in the current crisis”. Likewise, the final words will be in charge of the head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Pedro Francke.
“This congress seeks to share knowledge and experiences of recognized family entrepreneurs for the importance and success of family businesses, since without these there is no comprehensive economic recovery, since we represent 80% of Peruvian companies, generating 40% of GDP and 60% of formal employment, ”Garland added.
