The workforce of the concessionaire Avanza Durangaldea of ​​Bizkaibus faces a new day of strike today

The works council demands, among other things, to renew the expired agreement in 2020. In addition, it has requested the intervention of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia as a mediator in the conflict.

The works council of Advance Durangaldeaconcessionaire of Bizkaibushas convened this Thursday a new day of 24 hour strike. Among other things, they ask to renew the expired agreement in 2020. The staff also denounces that the management “refuses to negotiate the new agreement, and responds with more cuts and modifications.”

Avanza Durangaldea has more than 350 workers who daily provide the Bizkaibus public service with more than 75 buses in the areas of Alto Nervión (Eibar, Ermua, Mondragón, Llodio, Orduña, Elorrio, with their connections to Bilbao).

The mobilizations They started early in the morning with a concentration and a caravan of cars that started at 07:00 from Lemoa and will end in Bilbao.

With these mobilizations, the staff urges the company to accept the proposals for improvement made. Likewise, it requests the intervention of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia as a mediator in the conflict.

This is the second strike day of the year after the one called on January 7.
