The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) reported that the company SC Johnson and Son del Perú SA communicated about the call for review and initiation of the voluntary withdrawal of the Raid Electric Liquid Repellent product, model SKU 317632, for presenting risks to the safety of consumers.
They indicated that this product is made up of portable equipment that plugs into the electrical current and is not configured to receive the 220-volt current used in Peru. This could cause the product to overheat and the consumer to receive a shock if they come into contact with it.
They also reported that the product could generate excessive heat and create conditions where the liquid refill could catch fire, particularly if used near flammable materials.
