Yesterday, January 28, the National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sinafil) carried out an inspection on the beaches of Ancón in order to verify the conditions in which the workers of the companies hired by Repsol SA work to clean up the oil spill .
The agency reported that during the intervention it collected information from more than 300 workers that will allow them to check if they have been registered on the payroll of the companies they work for, and if they have a formal contract.
The inspectors also verified personal protective equipment, compliance with biosafety protocols to prevent COVID-19 infections, and the conditions of the workplaces, such as hydration points, dining rooms, and toilets.
Inspectors from the Callao Regional Intendancy, Metropolitan Lima Intendancy and the National Supervision Intendancy of the Inspection System participated in the inspection.
