Exchange rate in Peru: how much it is trading at today, Thursday, October 21, 2021

The price of the dollar is trading today, Thursday, October 21, in the parallel market at S / 3,935 the purchase and S / 3,970 the sale. According to the Bloomberg portal, the exchange rate is S / 3.,9449. In addition, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), the dollar closed yesterday, Wednesday, October 20, with a slight fall and stood at S / 3.9460, compared to the close of the day before, when it stood at S / 3.9480.

The National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) is trading the dollar today, Thursday, October 21, at S / 3,938 (purchase) and S / 3,979 (sale). In the international financial market, the US dollar registered a drop of 0.44%, however in year-on-year terms it still maintains the 5.19% increase, according to Reuters.

At the national level, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Francke, gave details of the Government’s plans regarding the request to request special powers to legislate in economic and tax matters. The objective is to generate higher tax revenues that would be used to improve health, education, drinking water, and sanitation conditions, among others.

“In the case of mining, the question is the price of copper, which is at a very high price and there is a margin to obtain a little more taxes and thus income for Peru,” the minister said and stated that ” there is no intention of raising taxes in general for all companies ā€.
