Pisco shipments abroad exceeded US$ 6 millones 493.000 between January and November 2021. The amount represents a 93% increase in relation to the same period of the previous year, when it was achieved US$ 3 millones 367.000, according to the Association of Exporters (ADEX).
According to Carmen Robatty de Moquillaza, vice president of the Pisco Committee, the increase is due to largest US requests, which registered a growth of 135%, and, in addition, concentrated 51% of the total sent to the world.
“If we want to maintain this trend, it is essential to continue the joint work between the public-private sector, identify and enter new destinations and improve the capacities of the actors in the sector”, Robatty mentioned.
