With the aim of contributing to the economic and productive reactivation of the country, the Chamber of Industries of Guayaquil (CIG) launches the Investment for the Reactivation of Ecuador initiative.
The project, which will bring together different actors from unions to academia, seeks to “promote concrete actions within the private sector and will recommend decision-making to the different instances of power.” The CIG describes the initiative as a space for reflection and action. In addition, he highlights that by promoting investments, a virtuous effect is created; that is, the generation of employment opportunities for two out of every three Ecuadorians.
Francisco Jarrín, president of the guild, He pointed out this January 20 that in this way the investment environment, legal certainty and trust will be consolidated. “There are many things that can be worked on so that Ecuador becomes a center for attracting investment, for example, strengthening public-private partnerships and taking advantage of what exists, such as Decree 68, which already determines a reduction in the procedure,” he said.

The leader also added that the sum of efforts by the different participating actors to point towards the increase of local and international investments It will be the main engine of the reactivation of the economy in 2022.

Jarrín explained that they will work hand in hand with the Ecuadorian Institute of Political Economy (IEEP), entity with 30 years of experience. “In the next few days we will sign an agreement with them to work on the studies, analyzes and proposals that come out of the project in order to technically support the formal requests that will be made to local and national authorities,” he explained.
