“Drug prices will remain frozen. Since March 2020, when the health emergency was declared in the country, the price of COVID medicines such as Azithromycin and Paracetamol in their generic and brand presentations, as well as personal protection products such as masks and liquid and gel alcohol, have increased. they have kept frozen,” the pharmacy chains said in a statement.
In this sense, they specified thata Azithromycin 500 mg (tablet) can be found from S/ 1.30, while the 500 mg Paracetamol (pill) is sold from S/ 0.10. Meanwhile, the mask unit is offered from S / 1.00 and the cost of alcohol gel will depend on the presentations but without any variation in price.
They also stated that to avoid speculation and hoarding, the number of units will be limited that can be acquired in each purchase, also urged the population to make responsible purchases.
“We are regularizing the supply in the premises. Despite following the established biosafety protocols, some employees have been infected, impacting the drug supply chain. We are deploying all the actions and efforts required to prevent this from generating inconveniences”, they detail in their statement.
