The exchange rate Today, Tuesday, January 18, starts at S/3,8554, according to the portal Bloomberg. Meanwhile, in the parallel market, the currency is bought at S/3,835 and sold at S/3,875. Likewise, the exchange session closed at S/ 3,872 on January 14, according to the official report of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

Meanwhile, the exchange rate according to the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat), is S/ 3,846 for purchase and S/ 3,869 for sale. Similarly, the price of the green ticket, according to the information provided by the Banco de la Nación, is purchased at S/ 3,880 and its sale is offered at S/ 4,000.

In the economic sphere, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) pointed out that the transfer of resources generated by mining activity to the regional and local governments of the North macro-region, which include the mining canon, legal and contractual royalties, and right of validity and penalty, added more than S/671 million between January and December 2021, according to the latest edition of the Mining Statistics Bulletin.

For its part, the Government plans to apply price caps on medicines and other products or services related to care for Covid-19, according to the Minister of Health, Hernando Cevallos. Likewise, the official pointed out that this measure would be taken to avoid price speculation, given the high demand for these products due to the third wave of infections.
