Dollar falls to S/ 3,855 and reaches the level of May 26, 2021

The price of the dollar closed down this Monday, January 17, for the sixth consecutive day and stood at S / 3.8550, a value similar to that registered on May 26, 2021, as reported by the Central Reserve Bank.

In this way, the greenback fell 0.43% compared to the close of Friday, January 14, when it reached S / 3.8720. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S/ 3.85 and the sale at S/ 3.89. For its part, the price of the dollar in the Banco de Credito del Peru, stands at S/ 3,845 for purchase and S/ 3,895 for sale.

In 2022, the US currency accumulates a decline of 3.40% compared to the end of 2021, when it scored S / 3,991.

During the day, the issuing entity placed a 3-month Interest Rate Swap for S/ 50 million at an average rate of 3.31%. In addition, it auctioned certificates of deposits with a three-month variable rate for S/ 700 million at an average margin of 0.04%
