National production grew 3.47% during November 2021

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) detailed this Saturday that during November 2021 national production increased by 3.47%.

This result is explained by the positive result of most sectors, with the exception of mining and hydrocarbons (-5.29%), construction (-5.78%) and financial and insurance (-4.03%).

INEI specifies that during the base month of comparison – November 2020 – the fourth phase of economic reactivation was in force, in which the return of various activities such as commerce and services with limited capacity was enabled.

On the other hand, INEI indicates that in the accumulated from January to November, Peruvian production increased 14.68% and during the last twelve months, December 2020-November 2021, it increased 13.26%.

In November 2021 it was noted that fishing production recovered after weighing down negative figures, thus achieving 13.03% due to the greater landing of species of maritime origin (13.36%), destined for indirect human consumption (fishmeal and fish oil) and due to the greater extraction of anchovy (917,779 tons in total).

The agricultural sector maintains its pace, and achieved a rise of 2.01% compared to November 2020 thanks to the greater dynamism of the agricultural subsector (1.71%), a period in which the largest crops of coffee (119.12%), corn corn (60.39%), oil palm (56.06%), mango (34.19%), tangerine (28.61%), grapes (9.92%) and cocoa (7.35%).
