Dollar in Peru: exchange rate falls and is quoted at S / 3,899

The exchange rate begins to fall on the day of Wednesday, January 12, and stands at S / 3.,8991 at 09:03 a.m., with which a decline is noted with respect to the close of last Tuesday, January 11, when it was in S / 3,9080 according to the report of Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

The purchase of the dollar in the parallel market is at S / 3.88. As for the sale, it amounts to S / 3.94. Likewise, the price of the green ticket in the main banks of the country is quoted at S / 3,897, the purchase and sale at S / 3,9005.

This happens after it became known internationally that consumer prices in the United States shot up 7.0% during 2021, being the highest rise since 1982, which is a concern of the president Joe Biden, who promised to stop this spiral.

As a result, the US dollar currency index, which tracks the dollar against six major currencies, fell 0.3% to 95.339, its lowest level since Nov. 15.
