The airline, present in the country, has direct flights to Bogotá, San Salvador, New York and plans future openings of operations to Miami.
The Avianca airline, which operates in the country, reported that, as part of its plan to offer more direct connectivity from Ecuador, from March 28 will start the operation of flights between Quito and San José (Costa Rica).
Currently, according to the firm, the tickets are already available for sale in the firm’s mobile application, travel agencies, website and physical points of sale nationwide.
Avianca indicated, through a statement, that the operation on this route will be carried out on Airbus planes, with which the airline will make available to passengers an offer of almost 3,000 seats per month.
“Ecuador is becoming more and more relevant on the connectivity map, and from Avianca we want to be a fundamental part of this growth that ends up being a great contribution to tourism and the country’s economy. We started the year with this announcement, which is part of the expansion project that includes having 50 new routes in three years from the different countries where the airline operates”Said David Alemán, Avianca’s general director for Central and South America.
