Jesús Baldeón Vásquez is the new superintendent of Sunafil

The government of President Pedro Castillo appointed Jesus Adalberto Baldeón Vasquez as the new superintendent of the National Superintendency of Labor Inspection (Sunafil).

Through Supreme Resolution No. 001-2022-TR, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) confirmed the resignation of Juan Carlos Requejo Aleman, thanking him for the services provided.

“The aforementioned official has submitted his resignation from the position of Superintendent of the National Superintendency of Labor Inspection – SUNAFIL; therefore, it is necessary to accept it and designate the official who will carry out said position ”, the document states.

In his place, the Executive appoints Baldeón Vásquez, who must, from now on, join forces to achieve the goal of reducing informality and transferring 500,000 workers to electronic payroll in 2022, announced by his predecessor.

Precisely, a few days ago the now former superintendent of Sunafil had given an interview to Andina, in which he assured that this year the office attached to the MTPE would seek consolidate predictability in work centers after the return of the Labor Inspection Court.

Jesus Adalberto Baldeón Vasquez is a lawyer and economist specializing in public procurement, government control, and international affairs. Before that, he was appointed director general of the General Office for Cooperation and International Affairs of the MTPE and advisor to the ministerial office.

The Supreme Resolution is signed by President Pedro Castillo and the Minister of Labor, Betssy Chávez.
