Biscayan business employees warn that their conditions “are not on sale”

Trade workers in Bizkaia have warned this Wednesday that their conditions “are not on sale” and have announced the start of a cycle of mobilizations for “their labor rights” that “will increase in intensity” if they do not see “movements in the corresponding negotiating tables “.

ELA and LAB have mobilized this Wednesday the commerce of Bizkaia, in the textile, general commerce and leather and footwear sectors, to denounce the “blockade” that exists by the employers in the corresponding agreements.

Cecobi, the business association, “not satisfied with the loss of purchasing power that we have been suffering, even dares to consider regressive elements in our working conditions,” they have denounced.

In this sense, they have rejected proposals from the employers such as working on Saturday afternoons in the summer, disappearance of seniority or the opening of shops on Sundays and holidays.
