The Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Francke, welcomed the implementation of the regulation of the Law No. 31031, which establishes measures that guarantee access to a pension in favor of the insured of the National Pension System (SNP), and affirmed that the Peruvian State recognizes the effort made by workers over long years to access a dignified old age.
Through his Twitter account, the minister stressed that this mechanism compensates pensioners who for a long time did not agree to any type of withdrawal due to obstacles from the past Executive and Legislative.
“Today the possibility that ONP affiliates who contributed for at least 10 years can have proportional pensions is concretized. With the Regulations promulgated today, the State recognizes the years of work and contributions for this stage of his life, ”he remarked.
According to the norm, 65-year-old members with contributions of between 10 and 15 years will receive pensions of up to S / 250. Meanwhile, those who gave part of their salary for a period of between 15 and 20 years are entitled to up to S / 350.
Along these lines, the head of the MEF invited future beneficiaries to start the procedures for their new pension now, which can be done online and free of charge.
“I encourage affiliates to submit their applications, so that from November they can see their pensions materialized, as a result of the contributions they made,” said Francke.
