They propose tax benefits for companies that hire young people between 18 and 25 years old

Companies that hire young people between 18 and 25 years of age and allow the reintegration of adults between 55 and 65 years of age will have tax benefits, according to a bill presented by the bank of Podemos Peru.

According to the legal initiative presented on December 22, 2021, this rule seeks to promote access to formal jobs for people in these age groups. In addition, it would encourage “education and training guaranteeing all of their rights and social benefits.”

Likewise, the benefited workers, in the case of young people between 18 and 25 years of age, would be those who enter the formal market for the first time or who are unemployed for more than six consecutive months.

For their part, people between 55 and 65 must be unemployed for more than a year or in a situation of informality. In addition, they must not have generated fourth category income in the last 12 months.

Benefits for employers

The bill indicates that employers who hire this group of young people and adults “will have an additional 100% reduction in expenses and contributions destined for them in educational services, job training for purposes of calculating income tax.” .

Finally, employers must hire workers for a period of not less than one year or for an indefinite contract.
