Novacero 48 years innovating and being the protagonists of change and the future of the country

Novacero, continuing with its improvement processes, installed a new automated train at its Lasso plant, in Latacunga (Cotopaxi), with the purpose of increasing production and improving its productivity. This machine is one more of the investments that, added, exceed 300 million dollars during the last 30 years.

Milestones in 2021

1. Novacero is an industry with 48 years at the service of the metalworking and construction sector.

2. The company has 1,200 employees that, despite the mandatory confinement during the pandemic, they remained in their jobs waiting for the market to reactivate.

3. In 2021, Novacero invested in a new automated train with continuous roughing with which it achieves better productivity, new products and a higher production volume.

4. Digital transformation

As part of the innovation in technology, it implemented the latest version of Sap S / 4 HANNA, aimed at providing a better service to its external and internal customers.

5. Laboratories of chemical and mechanical tests of the Lasso plant They received the ‘Initial Accreditation’, under the ISO 17025: 2018 standard certification, from the Ecuadorian Accreditation Service (SAE) that endorses their technical competence for conducting tests on metallic materials with reliable results on high quality products.

6. The campaign was carried out ‘We are all protagonists of Change and the Future’ in which collaborators, clients, colleagues and friends committed to building a better future through sustainability, circular economy and digital transformation participated.

7. With the purpose To contribute to the economic growth of the employees’ families, the ‘Entrepreneurial Families’ program was implemented, which supported entrepreneurial ideas with attention to the commitment it has with the country and the development of its people.

8. Novacero participated, At the invitation of the Municipality of Guayaquil, in the day of donating materials to families who suffered damage to their homes due to weather conditions.

9. Committed With the care of health and well-being, Novacero received the certification of Tobacco Smoke Free Company from the Ministry of Public Health.

10. It was part of the Vaccination Plan 9/100 proposed by the National Government achieving the inoculation of more than 12,000 people among suppliers, clients, friendly companies, communities and families. This initiative also motivated its people under the slogan: ‘+ Vaccinated + Reactivated’, and supported the economic reactivation in the country.
