Dollar in Peru: exchange rate closes 2021 on the rise and is quoted at S / 3.9910

The price of the dollar closed higher and stood at S / 3.9910 in operations on Friday, December 31. The greenback started the day at S / 3.9550, as reported by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

In this way, the currency increased by 0.05% compared to the close of last Thursday 30, when it stood at S / 3.9890. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S / 3.98 and the sale at S / 4.01. As for the price of the bank dollar, the purchase is quoted at S / 3.91 and the sale at S / 4.09, according to the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP).

During the day, the issuing entity went to the market to sell US$ 5 millones at an average exchange rate of S / 3.9920 per dollar to attenuate the volatility of the currency.

Compared to the end of 2020, accumulates a profit of 10,28%, after closing at S / 3,619 in 2020. It should be remembered that, in 2019, the dollar closed at S / 3.32 and, in 2018, it closed at S / 3,368.
