A recent survey conducted at the national level by the Supera World consultancy to almost 1,000 workers first, second and third line revealed that 52% of Peruvian collaborators considers that job growth within the company will allow them to improve their quality of life, which will make them try harder by generating an instinct for belonging, and, at the same time, will result in committed employees who strive to excel.
Along the same lines, the study revealed that 25% of employees consider that the most valuable thing is the salary (which means a great incentive to their work) and 22% believe that recognition actions such as a diploma or congratulations from the boss are a good incentive to reinforce the desire to continue on the same path of improvement.
According to Supera Wolrd, work motivation is an important factor for those who work with human capital, as keeping talent in the company has become a very important business strategy.
Likewise, it plays a relevant role in the achievement of the company’s objectives, as this leads to maintaining truly integrated teams, open to developing new challenges and willing to give their best to obtain the expected results. But how do you get to that motivation?
José Antonio La Rosa, co-founder of the international consulting firm Supera World, highlights that today national companies must cover three basic salaries: recognition, growth and financial compensation.
The leader states that although financial compensation is relevant, it should not be the only thing, since recognition and growth will awaken the maximum capacity, potential and motivation of his work team.
For this reason, he suggested that all collaborators should seek recognition opportunities, such as internal competitions; annual, quarterly, semi-annual recognitions; performance evaluations; Career plans; deserved promotions; trainings and many others.
