From January to December 2024, the jobs Associated with exports – including direct, indirect and induced – added around 4 million 428,000, 15% more than the previous year (3 million 851,000), reported the Research Center of Economy and global businesses of the Association of Exporters hundred-ADEX.
The report revealed that the positions of job of the traditional sector (1 million 750,131) increased by 19.9% and non -traditional ones (2 million 677,790) by 12%.
Of the 14 items, most had positive results: primary fishing (97.7%), agriculture traditional (25.2%), Siderometallurgy (23%), Agroindustry (19.8%), several (19.7%), mining (14.8%), chemical (8.6%), metalworking (2.3%) and clothing (1.8%).
On the other shore, Five sectors closed red jobs: fishing and aquaculture (-25.9%), wood (-16.8%), non-metallic mining (-13.1%), textile (-1.7%) and hydrocarbons (-0.2%). Thus, according to the report, more than 64,000 lost jobs are counted.
High -employment items
The activities that reached a historical record of labor places this year were the Agroindustry (1 million 947,876), the mining (1 million 143,531), Siderometallurgy (69,277) and Metalworking (38,637).

Regarding the destinations, North America contributed 1 million 475,550 associated jobs (33.3% of the total). Asia followed with 1 million 230,000, Europe with 1 million 099,000, Latin America with 578,218, Africa with 27,512 and Oceania with 16,620.
Regions
Except Lima and Callao, the coast represented 52.6%of the positions linked to the export sector in 2024. Of the 9 coastal regions, only three presented falls: Tumbes (-33.2%), Tacna (-3.6%) and Piura (-1.2%).
For its part, the Andean area generated 17.2%, equivalent to 763,541 and the Amazon area, which covers about 60% of the national territory, only promoted 2.9% with 130,537.
In December 2024, exports generated 441,752 associated labor places, which meant a growth of 2.7% compared to the same month of the previous year. The non -traditional sector created more jobs (298,157) with an increase of 15.6%; while the traditional (143,595) experienced a drop of -16.7%.
