“There is a reduction in the fiscal deficit facilitated by better tax supervision. And I have to announce that there is an important mining company that has made a payment of about S / 800 million to the treasury in the previous days, “said the head of the MEF during the last PCM press conference of the year.
Although the minister did not specify the name of the company, it should be mentioned that there would already be four large mining companies that paid their accumulated tax debt for years.
The first that paid a large sum was the Buenaventura Mining Company for more than S / 2,134 million, followed by green Hill that a cash amount of S / 513 million entered the treasury, thereby completing its debt of S / 1,040 million.
Meanwhile, the mining company MMG Limited, the parent company of Las Bambas, which paid US $ 170 million 660,389, equivalent to S / 690 million, to Sunat for fines and interest inherited from its operations in 2011 and 2012, when it was in the hands of Glencore. However, he prosecuted the case to recover the money.
