Chancay Megapuerto: Land Registry grew 38%, according to Sunarp

SUNARP opened a new office in Chancay to address the growing real estate activity, projecting 6,533 registrations in 2025, including real property and legal persons.

The growth in the demand for land records (land, properties or real estate) in the area of ​​influence of Chancay Megapuerto reflects the economic and urban impact that this infrastructure work generates in the province of Huaral.

According to data from the National Superintendence of Public Registries (SUNARP), In the second semester of 2024, 4,241 titles were presented in the Huaral Registry Office, which represents an increase of 38% compared to the same period of 2023, when 3,059 titles were recorded. The most requested procedures correspond to sale, mortgages and factory declarations.

Given this dynamism in real estate and registration, SUNARP implemented on November 8 a Receiving office in the Chancay districtin order to strengthen access to registration services and meet the growing demand. By 2025, the registration of 6,533 titles in different records is projected, of which 4,305 will correspond to the Real Estate Registry, 1,339 to the Registry of Legal Persons, 843 to the Registry of Natural Persons and 46 to the Registry of Movable Property.

This initiative is part of the decentralization strategy of the Registry Zone No. IX – Lima and Provinces, with the purpose of bringing registration services to the population, guaranteeing legal certainty and facilitating investments in an environment of economic expansion promoted by the Chancay megaport.
