The Minister of Economy and Finance, José Arista, told RPP that Proinversión has 17 projects, the latest being the Tren Macho from Huancayo to Huancavelica, which “should be launched in the first weeks of August.”
According to the text, which must be evaluated by Congress at the beginning of the legislative session, the Ministry of Infrastructure will be implemented within a period of no more than 24 months from the approval of the Regulations on Organization and Functions.
Furthermore, within no more than 180 calendar days from the date the law comes into effect, the affected sectors will make the regulatory and management changes required to complete the merger of entities, programs, projects and funds.
