ONP 2024: Review the payment schedule for pensioners in August
The payment of pensions to retirees under Decree Law No. 19990 will begin on August 8 and end on the 13th of the same month. In total, there are 692,829 insured persons, who will be able to collect their money through six banking entities: Banco de la Nación, BBVA, Interbank, Scotiabank, GNB Perú and BanBif.
According to Vice-Ministerial Resolution 005-2023-EF/11.01 From the Ministry of Economy and Finance, this is the official schedule for August based on the initial letter of the paternal surname of each retiree:
- Thursday, August 8: pensioners with paternal surnames beginning with letters between A and C.
- Friday, August 9: pensioners with paternal surnames beginning with the letters between D and L.
- Monday, August 12th: pensioners with paternal surnames beginning with the letters between M and Q.
- Tuesday, August 13: pensioners with paternal surnames beginning with the letters between R and Z.

More than 65,000 retirees who belong to DL No. 20530 and pensions by order, DL No. 18846, Special Fishing Regime and pensioners of the Complementary Insurance for Risky Work, will be able to collect their money on Wednesday, August 14. Also, the Thursday, August 15 Payment will be made to the 1,479 pensioners who reside abroad and receive their pension through international agreements.
ONP, August: When will pension payments be made at home?
Between Wednesday 14th and Friday 23rd Augustthe Pension Normalization Office (ONP) will pay pensions to those who requested the home payment service. Through this modality that the entity offers free of charge, more than 9,700 pensioners will receive their payments safely and efficiently in the comfort of their homes.
If you are not at home on the scheduled dates, ONP payers will make additional visits. It is worth mentioning that the unpaid money will be returned to your savings account and will be carried over with the amount for the following month.
Request home payment from ONP
In order to provide a quality service to those insured by the National Pension System (SNP) and other pension schemes, the ONP makes the home payment service available to pensioners. To request it, follow these steps:
- Submit your request through the onpvirtual.pe platform. Then, choose the ‘Pension collection’ option and click on ‘I want to request home payment’.
- Next, enter your ONP virtual code and complete the form with your personal information, email address and the address where you wish to receive payment.
- The result of your request will be sent to the email address you provided within an average of 5 days from the time you submit your request.
- Remember that the total amount of the pension is delivered only into the hands of the pensioner.
