Arequipa: more than 700 citizens will benefit from the restart of rural sanitation work

The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) monitored the resumption of potable water and sewerage works that are being carried out in the district of Uñón, Castilla province, in Arequipa. This rural sanitation project has a investment total of S / 6,793,646 and will benefit the residents of the towns of Uñón, Ampliación Nuevo Amanecer and Ninaquiro.

The works include the construction of a treatment plant for drinking water (PTAP), two reservoirs, 178 household water connections and more than 12 kilometers of primary networks.

Two wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), 143 sewerage connections, more than 140 mailboxes, more than 13 kilometers of drainage networks and 143 household drainage connections will also be implemented.

The resources were transferred by the MVCS to the District Municipality of Uñón, which is in charge of executing the work. The project has a physical progress of 45% and its completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022.
