This July, the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) will auction off all those products that have been confiscated during customs interventions. In this auction you can find everything from laptops, smartphones, iPads, among other technological items, to clothing, footwear and household appliances, starting at S/1This event, organized by Customs, provides the opportunity for thousands of people to access different products at affordable prices during the National Holidays.

It is worth mentioning that the auction process is carried out through a digital platform, which allows users to access these items from any region of Peru. Learn in this note how you can participate in these Customs auction products.

How to participate in the Customs auction?

If you wish to participate in the Customs auction, you must register in advance on the Sunat website, where you will have the opportunity to explore the complete catalogue of items, the auction rules and the starting prices for each lot. Here are the steps you must follow:

• Create your account at Sunat: Those interested in participating in the auction must enter the Sunat Customs Auction portal and create an account. To do so, you must register with your DNI or RUC number, provide company or user information, create your password and enter an email address.

• Confirm your registration: Once you have provided all the information, you will receive a confirmation link to the email address you registered with. Open it to confirm your registration on the Sunat platform.

• Check out the Customs auction catalogue: After registering on the web portal, you will be able to access the Sunat catalogue of available products. This includes a wide variety of products such as clothing, technology items and vehicles. Don’t forget to check their location.

• Making an offer: After choosing which product you want to buy, place your bid on the platform. The auction has very low starting prices, from S/1, which allows the possibility of getting great discounts.

• If no one counter-offers with a higher price, you will be able to take the item of your choice.
