The Ad Hoc Commission of the defunct National Housing Fund (Fonavi) met last Thursday, June 20, with the purpose of approving the registry for the Reintegration 2 group. In said session, it was decided who would be the beneficiaries of this list and They addressed the guidelines for the next payments that will be made through the Banco de la Nación.
In statements to La República, Jorge Milla, representative of the National Federation of Fonavistas and Pensioners Association of Peru (Fenaf Perú), described as positive this process of returning contributions to Fonavistas that began in April and said that there is still a universe of more than 220,000 former taxpayers who must be incorporated into the refund groups.
Fonavi 2024: these are the beneficiaries of reimbursement group 2
The process of returning citizens who contributed to the defunct National Housing Fund (Fonavi) continues. As is public knowledge, since Thursday, April 25, retirees who belong to the Reintegro No. 1 group, made up of members from lists 1 to 19, collected their money.
Unlike the beneficiaries of list 20, who received up to S/6,681, this group does not have a maximum limit on their payments, which guarantees fair and equitable compensation. In this framework, the Ad Hoc Commission approved the registry for Fonavi Reimbursement 2, as Jorge Milla, representative of Fenaf Peru, explained to this medium.
“It has been decided that the beneficiaries are people 70 years old or older, those who are registered in the Conadis registry, which would be around 13,000 people, and the relatives of deceased Fonavistas who were 93 years old or older,” he indicated.
According to Jorge Milla, representatives of the PCM have indicated that they have “little budget and personnel”, which causes delays in the work of the Ad Hoc Commission to guarantee the return of contributions to the remaining Fonavistas. Precisely, Fenaf Peru had asked to include the relatives of Fonavistas over 80 years of age in reimbursement group 2, but this could not be achieved.
When would the payment to Fonavi reimbursement group 2 begin?
Although the list of beneficiaries has already been defined for Reimbursement group 2, the official payment dates have not yet been approved. According to Milla, the Fonavistas of this group should be receiving their money in July. However, the Ad Hoc Commission must define the deadline at its next meeting.
“It should be in July. But, we are going to see because the technical part says that the PCM has reduced its budget and therefore, it cannot operate very large groups. So, we are going to insist that it be done within July. We will decide that Tuesday, July 2, at our next meeting of the Ad Hoc Commission,” he clarified.
Fonavi 2024: who gets paid at Banco de la Nación?
To date, the beneficiaries of the Fonavi who can collect their refunds at the Banco de la Nación are the following
- Payment Groups from 1 to 19: former contributors from previous lists who, for various reasons, were unable to collect their contributions.
- Payment Group 20: Fonavistas over 60 years of age, people with disabilities registered with Conadis, those with terminal illnesses and their heirs.
- First Reimbursement Group: former taxpayers from lists 1 to 19, mostly citizens over 80 years of age who have already received a portion of their contributions.
