Dollar starts lower with S/3.8160 this Thursday, June 20

The exchange rate has an accumulated variation of 2.97%, while in interannual terms the variation is 4.92%

The exchange rate started lower today with S/3.8160, according to preliminary data from the Bloomberg international currency exchange portal. That is, 0.026% less than the previous day, where it closed at S/3.8170.

In the parallel market, the greenback is now at S/3.80 for purchase and S/3.82 for sale; while in banking, the purchase and sale is at S/3,772 and S/3,859, respectively.

On the other hand, The increase in metal prices promotes a better result in the short term, but populist measures and political instability could limit the economy’s potential. For this year, BBVA Research expects the Peruvian economy to perform better: it raised the GDP result from 2.7% to 2.9%.

So far this year, the dollar has accumulated a variation of 2.97% and in interannual terms, of 4.92%, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru.
