The new Peruvian banknotes put into distribution by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) have been recognized with the award for ‘Best New Banknote Series in Latin America’ at the Regional Awards for Banknote and ID of the Year 2024, a prestigious recognition granted during the High Security Printing Latin America conference.

Who was in charge of the design of the new Peruvian banknotes?
The creation of the family of banknotes was entrusted to the English company De la Rue International, after winning the competition organized by the BCRP, in which the main banknote printers worldwide competed. The printing of the banknotes was carried out by the Polish company Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartosciowych (PWPW) and the Indonesian company Perum Peruri, noted for their experience and quality in this field. When did the new family of banknotes enter circulation?
