The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) reported that, this week, the wholesale price of chicken reached S/5 per kilogram, one of its lowest levels since October 2023, when it was rounded to S/5.38.

Midagri reported that this Tuesday morning there was a significant supply of vegetables and fruits in the main wholesale supply markets: 10,201 tons, adding the reports from the Great Wholesale Market of Lima (GMML) and Fruit Market No. 2 of La Victory.
In the case of the GMML, the entry of 7,615 tons of products including legumes, vegetables and tubers was recorded, a figure higher by 3.3% compared to the last four Tuesdays.
Likewise, the entry of 2,714 tons of potatoes and their varieties was reported, a volume greater by 10.8% in relation to the last four Tuesdays. Stocks are at optimal levels for most products.

The main wholesale offers this morning, per kilogram, were: carrot at S/0.87; yellow cassava at S/0.88; papa canchan at S/1.03; lemon in a bag at S/1.22; yellow sweet potato at S/1.53; onion at S/1.73.
There are also mountain green beans at S/1.75; olluco at S/1.83; macre squash at S/1.85; Cusco-type corn at S/2.50; tomato at S/3.47; Canary green beans at S/3.83; American vanilla at S/4.33, among others.
In it Fruit Market No.2 From La Victoria, the entry of 2,586 tons of different fruits was recorded. Today’s main offers are: coquito melon at S/0.79; watermelon at S/0.83; Valencia orange at S/0.84; banana cake at S/1.01.
Likewise, papaya at S/1.06; Hawaiian pineapple at S/1.28; satsuma mandarin at S/1.70; current apple at S/1.73; Creole avocado at S/2.54; Alfonso grape at S/3.03, among others.
