Dollar starts lower with S/3.7548 this Thursday, May 30

The Fed expresses growing pessimism in the face of reports of uncertainty and greater downside risks for the United States.

The exchange rate started lower today with S/3.7548, according to preliminary data from the Bloomberg international currency exchange portal. That is, 0.085% less than the previous day, where it closed at S/3.7580.

In the parallel market, the greenback is now at S/3,740 for purchase and S/3,765 for sale; while in banking, the purchase and sale is at S/3,714 and S/3,801, respectively.

On the other hand, The Fed found that the overall outlook for the country’s economic activity has become “somewhat more pessimistic,” amid reports of growing uncertainty and greater downside risks. This after the latest analysis of the current economic conditions of the 12 districts into which the Federal Reserve divides the United States.

So far this year, the dollar has accumulated a variation of 1.38% and in year-on-year terms, of 2.29%, according to the BCRP.
