On December 17 and 18, Tía, the supermarket chain with the widest coverage in the country, with 242 stores nationwide, opened two new branches generating more than 35 new jobs:
- In the Joya de los Sachas canton, in the province of Orellana in the East; Y,
- In Guayaquil, Plaza Tía El Camino on the road to Daule at the entrance of the Ciudad Santiago urbanization.

The stores opened their doors at 09:00 after an emotional opening ceremony was held, attended by special guests, including community leaders, local authorities, managers and collaborators. With the inauguration of these new premises, inhabitants of the neighboring communities of the Joya de los Sachas sector as well as Ciudad Santiago will be able to access the following benefits:
- More Card, where customers accumulate points for each dollar of purchase that can later be redeemed as part of payment.
