Given the complex situation that the country is going through due to the delays of the economic crisis and the socio-natural phenomena that hit many families, the Government ordered the delivery of a series of bonds to provide them with financial relief. Some of these subsidies have already expired, while others are still active.

Among these financial aid, the emergency housing rental voucher (BAE) stands out, which provides financial support to families whose homes have been declared uninhabitable. In addition, a schooling bonus will be paid for contracted teachers and educational assistants. S/500 rain bonus: what are the requirements?

The Emergency Housing Lease Bonus (BAE), commonly called the rain bonus, is aimed at families whose residences have been classified as uninhabitable or have been destroyed due to natural disasters, particularly floods and landslides. This financial support, which amounts to S/500, is granted preventively to those who reside in areas at risk due to the El Niño phenomenon, with the purpose of facilitating the rental of homes in safer places for a maximum period of two years. .

In recent days, the Government announced that it will temporarily deliver this bonus to families who were affected by the explosion of a tap in Villa María del Triunfo. On this topic, the Minister of Housing, Hania Pérez de Cuéllar, said that so far there are 38 homes that have collapsed or are in poor condition.

“We are going to apply the 500 soles per month stipulated in the rule for creating the bonus “until the responsible company replaces the damaged homes,” declared the minister.

In order to be eligible for the bond BAE, these essential requirements must be met:

  • The home they previously occupied must be declared uninhabitable or completely destroyed
  • The new property that will be rented using this subsidy must be located in a safe area.

To request the Emergency Leasing Bonus of S/500, interested parties must present the following documents:

  1. The application to receive the Emergency Leasing Bonus (BAE).
  2. The sworn declaration of not having housing other than the collapsed or uninhabitable one located in the department of origin (Lima).
  3. The rental contract for the home signed with the landlord with signatures legalized before the justice of the peace or notary public.
  4. If applicable, the sworn statement of the signatories of the aforementioned contract, in which the economic impediment to the legalization of signatures is recorded.

Schooling bonus: when will the S/400 be paid?

The schooling bonus for the year 2024 is granted to a series of professionals and workers in the public sector. This stimulus benefits employees and officials hired under the provisions of legislative decree No. 276 and laws No. 29944 and No. 30512. Likewise, it includes university professors recognized in Law No. 30220 and staff doctor mentioned in legislative decree no. 1153.

Also, it is granted to collaborators, both permanent and temporary, in the public sector; to the members of the Armed Forces and the National Police of Peru; as well as State pensioners, who are supported by the provisions of Law No. 15117, Decree Laws No. 19846 and No. 20530, Supreme Decree No. 051-88-PCM and Law No. #28091.

As is public knowledge, the payment of the school bonus became effective in January 2024. However, for those teachers and educational assistants who were hired under the scope of Law No. 29944, Teacher Reform Law, The delivery of this special bonus will also be carried out on a one-time basis, but in the payroll corresponding to the month of June 2024.

Government announces new bonus of S/380 for teachers and assistants

Following the mobilizations carried out by the Unitary Union of Education Workers of Peru (Sutep), the Minister of Education, Morgan Quero, announced the presentation of three bills that will be sent to the Congress of the Republic, among which, Payment of a bonus of S/380 will be requested for teachers and assistants hired and appointed in the education system.

“The projects are funded and ready to be discussed and approved by the Congress of the republicsince one of our objectives is to revalue teaching work and improve professional training, as well as the working conditions of teachers,” explained the head of the educational portfolio.
