Dollar in Peru: exchange rate opens lower and is quoted at S / 3,964

The exchange rate started lower on the day of Thursday, October 14 and stands at S / 3.9640 at 09:10 am on the Bloomberg portal, representing a decrease of 0.28% compared to the close of the last Wednesday, when it stood at S / 3.9750 according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

However, at 9:24 a.m. Bloomberg reported that the dollar continued its downward trend and it was trading at that time of day at S / 3.9591.

The purchase of the dollar in the parallel market (exchangers) is at S / 3,920. As for the sale, it amounts to S / 3,990. Likewise, the price of the greenback in the main banks of the country is quoted at S / 3,922, the purchase and sale at S / 4,028.

This decline in the US currency happens after the Executive made official the continuity of Julio Velarde as president of the BCRP, a designation that must be ratified by the Permanent Commission of Congress.
