At the regional level, the study reveals that although in 2021 the family economic situation is better than in 2020, 39% of those interviewed – in Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Costa Rica answered that they would spend the same as last year, while that about 36% confirmed that they would spend less than in the previous 12 months. While 28% of the participants responded that they would not make purchases during this season.

Of the Peruvians who responded that they would not make purchases, 70% said it was because the economy was not favorable and there was a shortage of employment.
