Since its launch, the Yape digital wallet has established itself as an essential tool for daily transactions between people. However, in a decision that marks a new direction, Yape will begin to apply a special rate of 2.95% for a new category of users. This measure, which will come into effect in the coming days, seeks to optimize business management and have better control over sales.
With more than six years facilitating instant and secure payments, the popular Banco de Crédito app is preparing to extend its business model to larger commercial operations. Those who choose to access the benefits of Yape Empresas still have time to register for this exclusive service and have the possibility of disaffiliating at any time.
Who will Yape start charging a 2.95% commission?
Through its institutional communication channels, Yape announced that it will begin charging a percentage of 2.95% to companies that use its new functionality. Yape Empresas is an exclusive service for large companies that seeks to improve efficiency and convenience in their transactions. Some of these advantages are:
- Receive yapeos of more than S/25,750 per month (5 UIT).
- Make payments for services of up to S/3,000 daily.
- Download sales reports and financial movements for up to 90 days to facilitate understanding of business income and expenses.
- Add “helper” profiles: allows companies to choose authorized personnel who will be able to verify, from their Yape account, that the sale has been carried out correctly. Additionally, it eliminates the need for the business owner to monitor deposits with screenshots.
- Link the Yape Empresa account to payments with Yape POS, a solution that allows you to accept credit card payments.
- Get a personalized and priority service channel through WhatsApp
Since when will Yape start charging commission?
Next Tuesday, April 30, the free trial period ends for entrepreneurs to join Yape Empresas. After this date, there will be an automatic collection service charge for companies to register and access their various benefits found within the same application.
This amount is 2.95% of the total sales of the day that are received by QR, contact and by new cell phone number. For example, if during the day a company collected S/1,000, S/29.50 will be subtracted, with a profit margin that amounts to S/970.50. The latter will apply during the days of the month in which these transactions are recorded. At the end of each month, each user will receive a payment receipt with the total service charge made.
It is worth mentioning that sales made with payments through YapePOS are not considered in the full amount because they already have a transaction commission.
Can I return to Yape Empresa if I disenroll?
If a user wants to access Yape Empresa the month after they disaffiliated, they can do so once a month. For example, if the disenrollment was in October, registration may occur again in November. Additionally, the following must be taken into account:
- You can access Yape Empresa until 11.59 pm on the day of disaffiliation.
- If transactions were received during the day by QR or Yapeos to contacts or non-contacts, 2.95% of the total amount will still be charged.
- You can continue to see all company movements in your personal Yape.
- When you disaffiliate from Yape Empresa, you will receive an email with the sales report for the last 30 days.
- The exclusive benefits of this new functionality will be lost, such as the ability to receive yapeos above 5 UIT (S/25,750) per month.
