Currently, Peru has 16.1 million active WhatsApp users and, of that universe, more than 400,000 entrepreneurs have already taken micro courses through the application, according to Aprenda, a business training specialist.
The first micro courses designed by WhatsApp took place during the pandemic, impacting business development programs and taking advantage of the rise of digitalization in times of crisis. By 2025, it is expected that there will be 500,000 entrepreneurs who follow the courses which, compared to those trained in 2020, would be betting on a hundred times more participants in just 5 years.
“Digitizing the training helped us quickly reach thousands of entrepreneurs, but it also made us see that we were excluding the smallest entrepreneurs, who wanted to train, but did not have time, mobile data or cellular equipment with a lot of capacity. Thanks to the trust of the BCP, in 2020, we marked a milestone in the training of Peruvian entrepreneurs by creating the first twelve automated micro courses developed entirely by WhatsApp,” comments Juan José Román, Aprenda Project Manager.
Currently, unlike 2020, today WhatsApp allows you to increase interaction and create conversational experiences with ‘chatbots’ to dose content that may be more difficult to explain. Along these lines and seeking to continue optimizing this learning proposal, large companies are defining parameters and internal policies around the incorporation of artificial intelligence without affecting the friendly experience that they seek to provide.
