Ositrán applied sanctions and penalties for more than S/1 million in the first quarter of the year

Most of the sanctions were recorded in the port sector. Only Transportadora Callao SA was punished with S/66,126.

The Supervisory Body for Investment in Public Transport Infrastructure (Ositrán) applied fines to the concessionaire companies for a total of S/1 million 121,897 in the first quarter of the year for regulatory and contractual non-compliance. Of the 11 sanctions, 7 were registered in the port sector, three in the road networks sector and one in the airport infrastructure sector. The subway and railway sector did not register any penalties or sanctions.

In the port sector, Transportadora Callao SA received four fines for S/66,126, while the company Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos Paita SA received two for S/33,063 and DP World Callao SRL one for S/43,609. All of them were applied for non-compliance related to the quarterly measurement of service levels in port operations.

Within the road networks sector, three sanctions were imposed for the amount of S/33,063. One was applied to the Concesionaria Interoceánica Sur Tramo 3 SA for starting the execution of an accessory work without permission and the other two to the concessionaires Carretera Sierra Piura SAC and Carretera Andina del Sur SA for S/16,531 due to excessive charging of fees. The latter had to return S/33,820 and S/648,081, respectively, for the amounts charged to users.

On the other hand, Aeropuertos del Perú SA received a penalty of S/16,531 for exceeding 26 °C at the airports of Iquitos, Pucallpa, Tarapoto, Tumbes and Trujillo. Likewise, four penalties were imposed for S/247,601. Three of them were directed to the airport sector and one to the road network sector. In the first group, two were applied to Aeropuertos del Perú SA for an amount of S/134,107 and one to Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú SA for S/112,752. For its part, the Concesionaria Autopista del Norte SAC received one for S/742.
