Recently, Congresswoman Digna Calle sent a letter to the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (S.B.S.) to accelerate the regulation by the entity, which has a maximum period of up to 15 calendar days. As can be read in the document, “It will determine, through regulations, the operating procedure for withdrawal within a period that will not exceed fifteen calendar days, counted from the entry into force of the law”.

“It should be considered that there is already a history of operating procedures approved by your entity that facilitate extraordinary withdrawals, which is why it is feasible to issue said regulation, a request that is supported by the more than 8 million Peruvians who urgently require the disposal of their funds”, you can read.

Until what date is there a deadline for the SBS to issue an operating procedure?
The approval by President Dina Boluarte and the head of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén, coincides with what was mentioned by José Arista, Minister of Economy and Finance (MEF), who indicated that the proposal for the seventh optional disbursement of funds. In this way, the SBS must announce the corresponding procedures before May 3 so that citizens can initiate the AFP withdrawal request.

- Submission of the application: Members have the option of submitting their withdrawal request, both physically and virtually, within ninety calendar days following the entry into force of the regulations of said law.
- Disbursement of Funds: Once the application is submitted, it is established that the amount of up to one Tax Tax Unit (UIT) will be deposited every thirty calendar days. The first disbursement is made thirty calendar days after the request has been submitted to the corresponding AFP.
- Withdrawal withdrawal: If the member decides not to continue with the withdrawal of funds from his individual capitalization account (CIC), he has the option to cancel the process. To do this, you must notify the private pension fund administrator on a one-time basis, at least ten calendar days before the next disbursement.
