Karol G: Peruvians spent S/1.5 million on drinks and food during the singer’s concert

Karol G’s concerts, held at the San Marcos Stadium on April 12 and 13, recorded income of S/1,562,322, according to Sunat.

After the verification and control actions carried out by 35 tax inspectors from the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) in Karol G’s presentations this last week, income of more than S/1.5 million was recorded.

The controls carried out in the 94 points of sale that operated in the San Marcos Stadium revealed that the sale of alcoholic beverages led the income, with S/878,885, while the hamburger, chorizo ​​and soda stores recorded profits of S/572,957. In relation to the sale of merchandising, S/110,480 was collected.

The Initial Verification of Compliance with Tax Obligations (Vicot), which is what this type of control is called during massive events organized throughout the country, also allowed the supervision of registration with the RUC and the issuance of payment receipts for the establishments. : 40 dedicated to the sale of alcoholic beverages, 39 to hamburgers, sausages and soft drinks, and 15 to merchandising.

In this sense, the supervisory body highlights the importance of requesting proof of payment when making purchases of any product. Only in this way would it be guaranteed that taxpayers declare all the income obtained and pay the taxes that correspond to them, promoting the formalization of the economy.
