MTPE forms work groups to attend to proposals from trade union centrals

Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) informed that three working groups will be formed between the Confederation of Workers of Peru (CTP), Central Unitaria de Trabajadores del Peru (CUT) and Central Autónoma de Trabajadores del Peru (CATP) and the MTPE to address the union proposals of these union centrals on socio-labor issues of general interest and national scope.

The main functions of these working groups, according to the MTPE, will be the following: develop an activity plan For the fulfillment of the object of the working group, request to the competent organic units the preparation of technical reports that are linked to the issues addressed in the working group and others that it deems necessary for the fulfillment of its objective.

Through the resolutions N° 259-2021, W258-2021, W 257-2021 published in the legal norms of El Peruano, they reported that these working groups will be made up of representatives of the MTPE and the trade unions.

These will be made up of the Vice Minister of Labor, an advisor from the ministerial office, a representative of the general direction of labor, a representative of the general direction of Fundamental Rights and Safety and Health at Work, a a representative of the General Directorate of Policies for the Promotion of Labor Formalization and Labor Inspection, a representative of the National Superintendency of Labor Inspection and six representatives of each of the workers’ unions.

These working groups will be installed within a period that will not exceed 10 working days counted from the date of issuance of these ministerial resolutions. Also, these have a valid for one year, counted from the issuance of this resolution.
