Congress sent to the Executive Branch a signed law authorizing the withdrawal of 4 UITs from the AFP

The provision of the money from the pension contributions would already be underway with this first step.

  • Fonavistas will receive a new disbursement no later than April 23, according to the Ad Hoc Commission

Following the recent approval of the seventh withdrawal of up to 4 UIT (S/20,600) from AFP funds in the Congress of the Republic, this Friday, April 12, the signature of the law was sent to the Executive Branch, which means that on They begin to run and that the Government has until May 6 to present any observations or proceed with its promulgation.

If it has the approval of President Dina Boluarte, by the beginning of May the law would already be official and published in El Peruano. From there, the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) must regulate it, which suggests that the criteria for withdrawal could be ready in mid-May, possibly.

With this, the AFPs will now be able to organize payment schedules so that they can proceed with the first withdrawal, which would occur 30 days after managing them. In that sense, the first payment would be 1 UIT, which is equivalent to S/5,150, and you would also have to wait 30 more days to proceed with the second withdrawal until reaching the established maximum amount of S/20,600.

Let us remember that the congressional day was eventful because the Fuerza Popular bench tried to place the reform of the pension system together with the liberation of the 4 UITs. Since it was rejected in the previous question, they were voted on separately.
