The Chancay Chamber of Commerce communicated its “deep concern” about the lawsuit filed by the National Port Authority (APN) against the company Cosco Shipping for the exclusivity of services in the Port of Chancay, a situation that it assured generates “legal and commercial instability.” .

The Chamber specified that the next megaport “will generate a large number of direct and indirect jobs in the population”, and also an unbeatable business opportunity for small and medium-sized companies.

“Not only in the district of Chancay and province of Huaral, but throughout Peru and internationally, providing industrial and commercial development that will stand out among the countries of the region, thus generating great investment interest at all business levels” , he related.

In this sense, he assured that “actions such as those that have occurred in recent days” have created uncertainty in the population, as well as local and national companies, about the investments that have been made and, logically, “in those that have been projected, the same that have been brought to the attention of this Chamber of Commerce”.

“It is for these reasons and motives that, as an Institution, we ask the central Government and the competent authorities involved to make all their efforts aimed at providing a solution to the uncertainty generated, returning to the community and the business community the confidence and stability necessary for the benefit of the Peru,” the statement concludes.
