The legal proposal that allows members of the AFP withdraw up to 4 UIT, approximately S/20,600, from its pension funds, has been approved by the Economy, Banking, Finance and Financial Intelligence Commission. This measure received broad support, with 17 votes in favor and 3 against. The objective of the seventh AFP withdrawal is that all members can use their money, in contrast to the initial idea that limited it to a small group of people.
Although an exact date for the disbursement of these funds has not yet been established, since the ruling must go through several additional stages, many members are interested in knowing which AFP their contributions are in in order to access the withdrawal. How do I know which AFP I am affiliated with? LINK
The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Pension Fund Administrators (SBS) explains how to discover which Pension Fund Administrator (AFP) you are associated with through the following steps:
- Go to the SBS website and click on the ‘online services’ section. You can also access directly through THIS LINK.
- Select the ‘AFP affiliation report’ option to determine if you are affiliated with an AFP or not.
- Afterwards, a new window will open where you must log in. If you don’t have an account, you will need to register first. To do this, you must read and accept the conditions of use, enter your ID number, your email and create a password.
- Once you have completed the registration, you will be able to see if you are affiliated with any AFP, along with other details such as the date you joined the Private Pension System (SPP), your code, your work modality and the type of AFP with which you are associated.
How to check my account statement in my AFP?
To check your balance, you need to access your AFP website or mobile application. You must log in with your identification number (DNI) and password. If you do not yet have an account, you can create one by providing your personal information and generating a password. Additionally, if you prefer to receive updates on your contributions every four months, you can contact your AFP or visit one of its branches to update your information. You can also request a complete report of all your contributions and transactions since you joined, including fees and total balance.
