The president of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, highlighted that, to date, more than 100,000 workers have been incorporated into the electronic payroll as a result of the inspection work of the National Superintendency of Labor Inspection (Sunafil).
Among other measures related to the defense of labor rights, the Head of State specified that his Government repealed the norm that established the perfect suspension of work that affected workers.
“With this initiative, the Government recognizes the importance and work of the trade unions. We reaffirm our commitment to the defense and protection of workers’ rights. We want the acquired rights to be respected and extended to the workers of small and medium-sized companies that, with their efforts, accompany us to move the country forward ”, he pointed out, during the launch of the National School of Union Studies of the MTPE.
In this sense, he said that, although the representation of the unions and the right to mobilize and to strike are recognized, they must be exercised frankly and promoting dialogue with the interested party when it has a platform of struggle, given that the measures protests are taken in extreme cases.
“It is necessary to promote a policy of permanent dialogue with all the productive sectors of the country, because we are convinced that it is the best way; but we also see that some sectors sometimes put on the label of ‘radicaloid’ and head on want to start a claim, without reaching a dialogue or consensus with the Government, ”he said.
In this framework, he considered it necessary for the National Labor Council, an entity where the State, workers and the private sector are represented, to be able to reach an agreement on the increase of the minimum vital remuneration (RMV), to give this news to the workers.
“The Government will continue to promote public and private investment, but with clear rules, without abusing the workers because they deserve all the respect,” he declared.
