Regional Government of Arequipa requests more budget for the year 2022

The Regional Government of Arequipa proposed to the Congress of the Republic that for the year 2022 a budget of 2,116 million soles be granted to the entity. The support was made this Wednesday, October 13, by Governor Elmer Cáceres Llica before the Budget Commission of the Legislative.

The budget of S / 2,116 million represents 4% more than the Opening Budget (PIA) of 2021, when 2,034 million were transferred. For investments, it supported the budget of 164 projects, which require a budget of 778 million.

Among the demands, Cáceres asked the Budget Commission to guarantee the financing of the new Goyeneche Hospital.

According to the GRA, the head of the Budget Office, Alexander Arenas Puma, explained that most of the financing of the PIA comes from regular resources with S / 1,608 million, which represents 76% of the total resources. It is followed by determined resources (canon and royalties) for S / 285 million, and resources from official credit operations for S / 182 million (transfers from the national government).
