Leaders of the communal pots abide by a sit-in in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis), in San Isidro, due to the new regulations that would force them to close half of their premises and would vary the food diet they receive.
María Felícita López Peña, leader of Puente Piedra, pointed out that the budget does not adjust to the reality of the common pots. They are asking for S/250 million for the current year, but they would have been offered, according to the organized bases, no more than S/58 million.
“Minister Javier Demartini has said that it is S/144 million, but in the end he does not comply. From 100% of the pots, they want to reduce us to 30%, they want to apply the 500 meters distance from a dining room or another pot” Lopez said.
