Exchange rate: dollar starts rising at S/3.7978 this Monday, February 26, 2024

Internationally, global oil demand will grow at a good pace this year and in 2025, according to OPEC. In its monthly report, it confirms its forecasts that demand will increase by 2.2% in 2024, to reach 104.4 million barrels per day (mbd).

The dollar exchange rate began rising this Monday, February 26, 2024 and was close to S/3.7978, according to preliminary data from the Bloomberg international currency exchange portal.

In the previous session on Friday, the greenback began its career at S/3.7885 and then progressed to S/3.7970 at the official closing of the Central Reserve Bank (BCRP).

Internationally, global oil demand will grow at a good pace this year and in 2025, according to OPEC. In its monthly report, it confirms its forecasts that demand will increase by 2.2% in 2024, to reach 104.4 million barrels per day (mbd).

In addition, the price of copper experienced a 0.8% decline this Monday on the London Metal Exchange (BML), closing at US$3,797 per pound. So far this year, the mineral has averaged US$3,775 per pound with a drop of 7.4%.
