How many times a year are profits paid?

The payment of this work benefit is granted once a year, after the end of the fiscal year. If the worker fulfilled his duties during the fiscal year, he will receive a greater amount than those who worked for less time. However, this benefit will be delivered the following year.

What can I do if my employer does not pay my utilities?

Failure to pay utilities is considered a serious violation and can be reported to the Sunafil. If the entity in charge corroborates this failure on the part of the employer, a fine ranging from 1.57 UIT (S/7,772) to 26.12 UIT (S/129,294) will be imposed, a figure that will be determined according to the number of injured workers.

How are profits calculated?

According to the Government portal, the following steps must be followed:

  • First of all, the amount of money that will be distributed among the workers is obtained.
  • A portion of the profits is calculated based on your days worked. The average value that a day of work of the employees has generated is obtained to obtain that result. Example: if it is determined that the work day generates S/3 and you worked 180 days, it is multiplied and this part of your profits is equivalent to S/540.
  • The other part considers your income as a worker. The amount of money to be distributed is divided by the sum of the salaries of all workers. That result is multiplied by everything you have earned in the year. Example: if the division is 0.02 cents and you have earned S/27,000, they are multiplied and this part of your profits is also equivalent to S/540.
  • Finally, both calculations are added. Following the example given, the total profit result is S/1,080.

How do I know if I receive profits?

  • Be on the payroll in a private sector company.
  • Work for a company that generates third-class income.
  • Work in a company that has more than 20 employees.
